Born Cuthbert Collingwood Sealy in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. In early 1920's studied at the Royal Academy Schools. In 1924 appointed a teacher of Life Drawing at Camberwell School of Art. Member of Seven and Five Society with Nicholson, Moore and Hepworth and held their first exhibition at the Zwemmer Gallery in London. Colin Sealy married the artist Doris Vaughan and together they had a studio in St.Ives, Cornwall. In the 1940's they moved to their studio in Cheyne Walk, Chelsea.
