Biography
Adrian Allinson was born in London. Studied at the Slade School of Art in 1910-12, where he was a member of a notable group of students working under Henry Tonks, Philip Wilson Steer and Walter Westley Russell. Won a Slade Scholarship. Taught drawing and painting at Westminster School of Art , designed posters for British Railways and was scenic designer for the Beecham Opera Company. Exhibited at RA, New English Arts Club, RBA, Leicester Galleries and Fine Art Society, which put on a retrospective in 1984. Galleries in Manchester, Bradford and Rochdale hold his work.
